I’m Milo, a 19-year-old student from the Wirral peninsula, near Liverpool in north-west England, currently studying MEng Electronic Engineering with Mobile & Secure Systems at Southampton.

I am a licensed radio amateur (callsign M0ILO), and have been since 2013. I’m also a volunteer with RAYNET, which provides voluntary communications in times of emergency.

I’m deputy chair of the Radio Society of Great Britain’s Youth Committee, which promotes and arranges youth participation in amateur radio and STEM events such as British Science Week.

I’m also a member of the Royal Navy section of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at my school, holding the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. Thanks to the CCF, I hold British Red Cross first aid certificates and the RYA Level 2 National Powerboat Certificate (coastal, planing & displacement craft). In May 2015 I was appointed as Mayor’s Cadet for Wirral.
