About me

I’m Milo, a 20-year-old student from the Wirral peninsula, near Liverpool in north-west England, currently studying MEng Electronic Engineering with Mobile & Secure Systems at the University of Southampton.

I am a licensed radio amateur (callsign M0ILO), and have been since 2013. Up to January 2019 I chaired the Radio Society of Great Britain’s Youth Committee, and in 2015 received an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship sponsored by the Radio Communications Foundation.

I’m also an IET Diamond Jubilee scholar, sponsored by BT. Summer 2017 saw me work at BT Labs Adastral Park in Suffolk within Wireless, looking at the use of software-defined radio in 5G test and development.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing squash on a casual basis with Southampton University Squash Club, hillwalking, finding the perfect coffee, or acquiring yet more stationery.
